Julienne 04:46
rattling bus roll back to Astoria carry my broken body home where I’m laying down new tracks and my old time friends are crawling back down the vein, the very main line down hand to head as raindrops run julienne, cut me into shreds. cut me into slices, lay me end to end till I reach the moon. there is no release from you. every piece of me imprinted with the letters spelling out the letters of the name julienne. julienne, cut me into shreds. cut me into slices, lay me end to end till I reach the moon. there is no replacing you. when I put the pieces all together they resemble nothing so much as your face once again. julienne split open my head. pull out every thought of everything we said that was never true. in my epileptic view you are flashing in a thousand nameless colors paralyzing me within your grip till the end. shimmering cloud of foolish euphoria, cushion my brain against the blow. push so hard against the wall that there’s nowhere left for me to go down the vein, the very main line down hand to head as raindrops run red julienne, cut me into shreds.

violet white is the light in your mind that keeps you from listening so you’re long past my help and you don’t need anything cause you’re so high. tell me a way to climb. don’t mean to leave you behind. me I could not deny, no one could ever say, never say, never say die. but why? running the, running the gamut. running the, running the gamut. breaking the, breaking the habit. terrible, terrible. getting your, getting your clearance. getting your, getting your clearance. running the, running the interference. running the, running the gamut. get this down: I’ve had it and I won’t have it now. scarlet ribbons unfold, liquid and sparkling. trace a path from the hole, expanding and darkening. so well prepared for the tragic role, somewhat disheartening. what’s the use of it all, you just hope that you learn something. everything speaks of you. you are not everything. everything’s going just fine. but why? running the, running the gamut. running the, running the gamut. breaking the, breaking the habit. terrible, terrible habit. getting your, getting your clearance. getting your, getting your clearance. running the, running the interference. running the, running the gamut. get this down: I’ve had it and I won’t have it now. I tried to throw you a line. I try too hard every time. I tried to throw you a line. I try too hard every time. you must be the one to decide. cause your right to sink is your right. and I tried to throw you a line. but your right to sink is your right.

you puncture my skin, touching a strange place each finger a syringe. connect and erase. my preconceived notions. I should, should I put aside? my preconceived notions. I know, no, I don’t know why I should put aside, should I put aside you, are you mine? I should know the signs. did I ever know you? are you mine? you filter me in, filter me past out. each finger a syringe to suck up the stormcloud. my preconceived notions: I should, should I put aside? my preconceived notions. I know, no, I don’t know why I should put aside, should I put aside you, are you mine? I should know the signs. did I ever know who you are? my preconceived notions: I should, should I put aside? my preconceived notions. I know, no, I don’t know why I should put aside, should I put aside you, are you mine? I should know the signs. did I ever know you? why, should I? why should I? why should I? why should I? why should I? why should I? why should I? why should I? why should I?

I’m a hapax legomenon. what are you staring at? I’m a one time phenomenon. why are you denying that? I’m a noted philanthropist with nothing to give. but compared to my other days this is downright positive. coming round only once, never to be seen again. and when I have left the scene, you’ll soon forget where I’ve been. in an alternate universe would I still feel this way? or would I have the wherewithal to plunge through another day cause in these awkward circumstances abnormal and otherwise only small bits of strength appear to help me mobilize coming round only once, never to be seen again. and when I have left the scene, you’ll soon forget where I’ve been.

Preconceived Notions is the earliest, while Running the Gamut is the most recent song, pointing towards the current evolution of our sound as later heard on the Pterodactyls album.
